Novita is, and continues to be, my favorite go-to lunch with friends place. However, this time there were a few disappointments. My cheese tortellini was seriously overcooked and mushy and the pistachio gelato was crystally. On the service side, when I arrived at the restaurant, I asked the gal at the greeter desk a question regarding policy and procedure. She didn't know the answer but said she'd check and get back to me. She never did. When our order was taken, I informed the waitress that we wanted separate checks. Don't sleep on Novita! The service was excellent, the food was delicious, especially the crispy artichokes and the chickenmeese salad! The drinks were on the spot and the music was fun with a good energy! They lifted the volume in the middle of our meal, which makes it harder to talk, but we were there on a Friday night!
