In May 2023, our office held a potluck, and everyone wanted to try jollof rice, so I ordered it from Nyame Ye (which means "God is good"). The whole office enjoyed it so much that everyone took home a to-go container. Yesterday, due to popular demand, I ordered a half pan of jollof rice for the team, and once again, it was a hit. I really appreciate the consistency in flavor; it never changes, which is a great thing to rely on. Rose, the owner, is incredibly hospitable and helped ensure that the food arrived on time for my colleagues.
My family and I are visiting Washington, D.C., specifically the African American Museum, from the Bay Area in California, and I discovered this restaurant. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, who was exceptionally kind. We ordered the Spinach Plantains and Jerk Chicken, and they were absolutely delicious—spicy, tender, and full of flavor. I really wish this restaurant were located in Vallejo, California. Thank you once again!
After living in Benin, West Africa for over two years from 2012 to 2014 one of the things I miss most is legit African cuisine. I found this place about two months ago, and since have gotten the peanut butter soup with fufu three different times. Each time it reminds me of a similar dish I ate in Benin. I highly recommend this place when you’re hankering for real African cuisine.

Wow!!! this is my first time coming to this place Nyame ye restaurant. they are serving delicious African disehes if you come their u will love their food because it test so good that u can even want to come everyday. For lunch or dinne. They served u fresh food too. Come get yours my people u will never regret it delicious

ordered fufu and lite soup thru doordash. i’ve never tried fufu but have always craved it and this hit the spot for me! the soup and meat were so delicious and flavorful but VERY very spicy. i enjoyed it nonetheless, even with a runny nose from all the spices. thanks for a great first experience with fufu!
My friends and I visited this restaurant for the first time, and we had such a wonderful experience! The owner, Auntie Rose, even played some music for us, which was so thoughtful. She was incredibly kind, and we really enjoyed our time there.
