O Abel - Reserva de mesa

Followed the recommendation for a local place where we could get dinner from the front desk in the hotel we were staying at and we're very glad we went to this restaurant. They specialize in grilled meats. The chef really knows how to do it right! I ordered the steak medium rare and the waitress asked me if I wanted a half or whole portion. I'm sure glad I said half because the portion was way more than I could possibly finish! Cooked perfectly! My husband order the regular size portion of veal chop and it was very large and also cooked perfectly. We had left enough room for dessert. One was a cake, the other Ben Jerry's ice cream. Both were delicious.

If you're looking for a good meaty meal, this is the place. Very diligent personnel will help you carrying on as you get stuffed on gorgeous pieces of the best meat you can find in Portugal, let alone the absolutely delicious French fries that come along with the generous pieces of meat. Too bad they don't accept reservations. You must be at the location early on if you want to get a table as you arrive.

I endorse the previous comments wonderful meat beautifully cooked, lovely people, superb fries, very reasonable price what's not to like? The accommodation is very good too. The usual superlatives are inadequate to say how much we enjoyed this evening, here with Paolo and his crew. Oh yes, superb local vinho tinto too, incredibly cheap €3/litre!!!

WOW WOW WOW I have been in Portugal 20 times. Tonight I had the best meal ever in Portugal and the best steak in the last 35 years. The food was teriffic, the service was so gentle and nice I find the Portuguese to be the nicest people in the world). Everything wad tasty and the price is more than fair. Reserva una mesa ahora

Amazing restaurant 10 minutes away from Bragança. Definitively a must go when around the area. The meat is amazing, the best I've ever tried. The prices are really fair. Just try to go early since you probably will find a line!

A wonderful exponent of rural Portuguese food at its best. Meat was superlative. Great staff and very friendly reception. Obviously very popular with the local population.

Well worth a detour. Awesome meat, great fries. Very reasonable prices. One of the nicest pieces of meat I've ever had.
