O Caprices De Mathias

NO NO NO Very poor quality and too expensive. Wasted €110 for really bad food that gave me a mouth ulcer. My wife also did not feel well after dinner. -fried courgette that was brought cold straight from the fridge -A hard fois gras that did not taste good -meat that was initially not well cooked -the desert was awful and I suspect it was bought from the supermarket. I never write reviews for restaurants and i feel sad to write this one as i saw this was a family business. It was the worst food i had in St Remy. I hope for them that they can improve as the location is cute, but i will not go back.

This restaurant has a beautiful view on the Alpilles. However the food does not meet the expectations at all. We ate cod which was swimming in a bouillon with no taste at all. The starter was also lacking on seasoning. Real disappointment because this setting with a fine cuisine would be a real success!

We just spent a week in st Rémy and didn’t have a bad meal But Caprices was the best. Lovely location, gracious service and outstanding food. We had foie gras and dorado. Both excellent washed down with very drinkable local wine reasonably priced Perfection!

In a magical place we arrive with family that already know very good this restaurant. And their decision to start at Mathias the new year was perfect. We didn’t want the food ended Happy new year

Delicious luncheon for a hiking/ culinary group I was a part of. The swordfish in particular was a standout. Very kind owners/ staff. Very enjoyable.
