O Cerro - Reserva de mesa

Went for dinner after reading the great reviews. We were greeted by the owner who made us very welcome and also spoke english. She told us she is celebrating 32nd anniversary of the restaurant tomorrow. She brought us some bread and olives to start and also her home made carrot and garlic salad which was amazing! For mains, she let us know what they had today, it was a choice of sardines, chicken breast, pork ribs or fillet. All came with chips and salad. You need to definitely have dessert! They had home made desserts, we tried all 3. There was cheesecake which was super light, apple tart and also a creme caramel. This was one of my favorite meals while vacationing in Portugal. I really enjoyed the quaint and homey atmosphere. No menu, only daily specials. My wife and I ordered fresh fish, ribs, and a bottle of wine. The homemade dessert was delicious too! The owners are a husband and wife. The husband runs the kitchen, and the wife runs the front. She also speaks English (and apparently French as well as Portuguese).

We had 3 lovely meals all delicious and excellent value for money. The lady who owns o cerro is very friendly and helpful. There isn't a menu but what is available on the night and there is plenty of choice. We will definitely go back next year

Local acolhedor, comida tradicional, gerido por uma familia, um atendimento caloroso. Tipico da personalidade portuguesa. Fiquei muito satisfeita e deu pra repetir o borrego . Tem caracóis sexta, sabado, domingo e feriados a partir das 16h. Reserva una mesa ahora

The place is dated and tired. One of the meals grilled fish was burnt and dry. It was also quite expensive compared to other similiar restaurants. Much better places to eat.

Une bonne cuisine familiale : le plat de cataplana est délicieux (un peu cher mais à essayer). Service convivial et accueillant et réception à Helena (proprio).
