During a time of a meal, my wife and I (be vegetarians) we are looking forward to dinner in a restaurant offering several vegetarian dishes on the menu. It was without counting the deplorable and shameful welcome of a restaurant boss taking on himself as a star chef! Although the restaurant is half empty, we have been coldly repressed by pretexting that the last table had just been reserved at that moment! We were accompanied by our girl in a stroller, which must have deplored this arrogant and irrespective restorer. a few minutes after this incident, back in the car, shocked by this situation and naive that we are! to take away the doubt, we took the trouble of reminding this restaurant to make a reservation for 3 people in the evening itself. the same restorer told us that we could come to any moment knowing that there was room and that it was not complete! being accustomed to going everywhere with our daughter in all kinds of restaurants and public places, it's the first time we've been denied access! we take the trouble to leave this comment because it is much more than unacceptable!
Let us pass on the fact that Ethiopian dishes eat in a large common plate, and with hands and not individually, or with cutlery, as was presented in this restaurant. It's a shame, because we lose all this notion of atypical sharing and conviviality that is also part of the journey... It is the behavior of the boss who is at stake above all: a succession of unpleasant attitudes. We reserve for 8pm, he asks that we come at 7pm (undoubtedly to optimize the number of customers he can have, if that is another reason, it has not been specified), he insists on the drinks, he refuses to reserve us from the injera (the cake) that all over the world is at will. Food in itself is fairly faithful, but if you want an authentic and pleasant experience on the reception side, it is not here that you have to start. we find very good Ethiopian restaurants with betting, lyon, toulon etc where you will not have to suffer the mood of the boss
I was expecting an explosion of flavor, new tastes but nothing of this here. Let's first talk about the place, very small the tables are close to each other, fortunately there's no big world. the server (patron)? is completely lost in commands. become very authoritarian when he loses himself in these commands. ordering a water carafe but it brings us back water in bottle, insists strongly that we order wine or we wanted an Ethiopian beer that there was no more. The dishes are served on a crêpe, a doro wat for me. If I had 50 gr of chicken on my plate it was good. really the quantity is shameful given the price. see the photo...Nothing very exceptional so, no flavor, no taste. I didn't even take dessert or the server insisted strongly. I'm not going back. the restaurant accepts the restaurant tickets.
We went to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday between lovers. We were very well received by the owner of this facility. We ate the discovery menu that was extraordinaryly good! However, I will point out that there was a little bit of spice (we love African cuisine a lot and know more about Ethiopian cuisine, which is usually more spicy than there). In any case we had a very good time and really had a very good time. Thanks again to mm for his good little dishes!!!! we will return very quickly. See you soon!
