I found this lovely little restaurant by accident on a summer day trip from Lyon when I had some time to kill. The sun was blazing down and even the dogs were lying low. But the terrace in the shade of the church was delightful. Under the cautious eye of the owner, who tried hard to understand my rusty French, I steered my way through the set menu plus gazpacho, fish of the day, a heavenly fruit dessert and coffee, helped down by a half bottle of the local wine. My neighbour, engulfed in the local paper, looked like a small town lawyer, pince nez glasses and a serious but not unkind face. I assumed he didn't lunch here very day given the calorie count. Fabulous.
An excellent find for dinner on an overnight stay in Vienne. The proprietor and staff were welcoming and friendly, they speak English too for those whose language skills desert them at the important moment. The wine is local and good, the food is delicious, the service is not rushed, the prices are reasonable. Another visit to Vienne and Le Cloître will be made.

Nice central location for dinner , good ambience, very good typical french food, wines expensive for the quality unfortunately, French service. Open Mondays for dinner in April, so a real benefit.

A very good place to eat in Vienna. I had very good food 3 courses menu) Pairing with a selected half bottle of red wine from Rhône Valley for only 35 euros! Excellent services of the lady owners.

A fun and friendly setting at the foot of the Cathedral of Saint Maurice. Good food and good staff. I highly recommend.
