For our original tasting, we met with Basia at their Arlington Heights location in March 2020. The appointment was fun and productive—we spent our time viewing their look-book of designs, discussing photos we brought in as examples of our vision, and, of course, tasting several combinations of cake and frosting. Still overpriced, but yes, very good quality. Delicious cakes. But... I visited this place last week, and got there at 06:01pm hoping that they would close later. They close at 6pm. Yet, lights were on and customers were there. I do understand that employees would like to go home at the end of the day, but the door was still open. There was a Polish lady sitting at the table with a customer. Upon my entry she just barked at me with the most sour face that you can imagine: we are closed! . We chose Oak Mill Bakery for our wedding and rehearsal cakes based on a recommendation from my husband’s sister, who had used them ten years ago. We couldn’t be happier with our choice. Bill was our main point of contact and was extremely helpful and patient as we spent more than an hour tasting a variety of delicious options and going over pricing. Both cakes not only met but surpassed our expectations and tasted absolutely amazing!
Don't order eggless from them! We ordered a simple eggless cake from here for a party and the taste of it was 2/5 stars. I had high expectations knowing the reviews and the presentation but taste was eeeh. I would say there are better options out there for eggless crowd especially fact that they even charge extra for eggless ones. I bet their cake with eggs are probably better but that's not an option for us.

Not suitable for selling birthday cakes. The woman at the counter had a rude expression on her face and seemed so indifferent that she didn't bother to move. Instead, she asked me to describe the cake before she would tell me its ingredients. In most places I know, she would be fired for this, except perhaps at funeral homes.

I absolutely love their cakes—you can’t go wrong with any of them. The cakes are light, not overly sweet, and simply melt in your mouth. I tried the chocolate mousse, and it was delicious! I’m giving four stars only because their customer service could use some improvement.

Picked up bakery items from Oak Mill Bakery on September 18, 2022, and found them to be stale. I purchased a cheese and raspberry coffee cake along with several sweet rolls. At first, I thought only one might be bad, but after cutting into each, they were all hard and dry.
