The BEST service, atmosphere and food!! Homemade braised beef ravioli was delectable surrounded by al dente pasta and a delicious dark, thick brown gravy. Flavorful King crab served with lemon and butter melted in your mouth. Mashed potatoes and cream spinach were excellent sides. Rolls served with dinner were great tasting. A tip if you?re a party of two, ask to be seated upstairs by the window. Great view of the city. Another tip if you dine on Sundays they offer $40
It was my birthday and I wanted to treat myself to a special meal. So I checked out many places and decided on the Oak. I went about 8:15 and sat at the bar. The bartender was excellent. She did a great job. I ordered the chopped salad to start, which looked good, but the dressing was a bit salty. I went with the NY strip for my steak, with creamed spinach. Loved this restaurant. We we sat on the 3rd floor by the window next to the fireplace. Its was peaceful more quiet. But just perfect. I loved the ambiance and historical design of this building mire than 100 years old. High ceilings and it felt airy. The food was on point. Simple menu but just perfect. the room I was in would be the perfect date place or a family dinner. A must experience.
One of my best dining experiences in some time. We arrived 30 minutes early expecting to kill time at the bar but the bar was full and we were seated at our table right away. The service was top notch, always there when needed. The steaks were cooked perfectly, charred and a little salty on the outside and pink and warm in the middle. Great atmosphere! Everything from start to finish was awesome. Food was great and seasoned to perfection. We ordered the mix grill, King Crab, and Oysters Rockefeller. Reservations are a must. Due to it being a popular spot, set your reservations at least a few days in advance. Trying to get a table the day of is possible, but highly unlikely, especially on the weekends.
This restaurant is fantastic. From the drinks to the dessert, everything was outstanding. The only downside was the noise level. We were seated on the upper level, and it was very hard to hear our waiter or have a conversation with each other. It was a bit frustrating to want a peaceful dinner but have to listen to the conversations of every large group.
Our server Cam, was absolutely outstanding. Food at Oak is phenomenal, and ambiance terrific. The pork belly appetizer phenomenal, the dry aged rib eye cooked to perfection, the brussel sprouts full of flavor and a great addition to our meal. If you haven’t been to Oak, make yourself a reservation as quickly as you can!
I was extremely impressed! The service was exceptional and really added to our anniversary celebration. And I can't forget to mention how delicious the food was! Incredible service and food! My husband and I returned to Charleston and Oak Steakhouse was the first place we wanted to have dinner at. Our food was cooked to perfection and our waiter was the most attentive. Will definitely come back when we visit Charleston again.
