Oakleys Bistro - Reservar una mesa

I rarely write a negative review and this isn’t really a “bad” one—but just being honest. We’ve dined at Oakley’s several times in the past and have always been happy and pleased with the overall experience. But it’s interesting how one thing can offset an entire experience and this occurred with our meal this time. Our daughter ordered one of the salads that had an egg embedded in a piece of Texas toast along with shaved broccoli and other vegetables. It arrived and wasn’t to her satisfaction or what she expected and we told the waiter. She substituted the wedge salad which was very good. All of the other dishes we had were very good but not great…with the salmon being the best and the brisket not being as good as we remembered—this time a bit dry. But the main issue I have is that when the bill came they charged us for both the wedge salad AND the broccoli salad that our daughter sent back. I asked the waiter about it and he said “I don’t have any choice”. Really? That’s not what my experience has been in high-end “gourmet” restaurants EVER before. The waiter should always have the latitude to make adjustments as needed to satisfy the customer. Maybe he did have this but chose not to—who knows? Oh well—the good new is that there are plenty of good alternatives to choose from, especially in the “fine dining” category in Indianapolis

The food is unique and delightful at Oakley’s. The Kung Pao brussels, apricot wrapped bacon and butternut squash soup are not to be missed, as is the chocolate bar dessert which is divine. The scallops were a miss on this particular occasion, but otherwise, the food here is divine. It’s a hidden gem for sure

Oakley's is a gem in our Indy area. Whatever you order from their menu, it is excellent food. The wait staff is attentive enough but not distracting and did not make us feel rushed at all

Great food. The bacon nectarine wrap could have used a more sweet and salt element like either goat cheese or salted almond inside of it. All the other menu items we ordered were great
