There is nothing flashy or pretentious about this place. Comfortable, cosy furnishing, well cooked food, reasonable price, friendly service and a “tour des tables” every so often by the owner to check everything is all right. The food is well cooked, local style (no tarte flambé with generous servings of sauce if you like it rich. Often the sauce is served on the side so you can control your calorie dose. The service if friendly and easy to flag down if you need something. The clientel are mostly local with a lot of seniors at lunch time. We had dinner here when we stayed in the hotel for one night. The hotel portion was very good (see my hotel review), and the dinner was pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but not bad. Ordering may be tricky if you don't speak French, but the menu is also in German, so if you know any German, you can figure it out. We ordered (and did most of our hotel business) in an awkward combination of German, French and English, which we spoke in reverse proportion to the staff. But, it worked, and we were happy. It's a bit on the expensive side, but there didn't seem to be a whole lot of options, unless you want to drive the 20 minutes (and take another 20 to park, and another 20 to walk to a restaurant...

delicious french pastries from local bakery coffee expresso perfect my daughter had hot chocolate, rich and foamy orange juice, not chemical flavor nice big fresh rooms (2) we ate on the terasse with plants around us good ambiance, the staff had their lunch next to us during our brunch would go back, and recommend

Delicious meals and well balanced menu accompagned by elegant French wines. Crémant d'Alsace was of exceptionally rich taste. It is also worth of trying breakfast with home made fruit jam, and light and crusty croissant and breads delivered by local baker.

Although we like the hotel we find the restaurant very expensive and the food not very good. I left half of my dinner and was not asked if anything is wrong. The quality is not up to standard and i think one can eat in the city centre for the same price.

Tasty classic French food with excellent wines from the region and beyond. Also Crémant d'Alsace is absolute must. Those who are partial of Pinot Noire will find there refined proposals, selected by the Maîtresse of the House.

Fantastic dinner: elegant and sophisticated. Salmon with velvety sauce is excellent. Very warm atmosphere, daughters of owners working as waitresses are very attentive. Always happy to come back.
