Not sure if this is the location that is fulfilling my weekly deliveries but since it's the closest one to me I'm going to give them the credit! Oberweis is headquartered in Chicago and when I lived there I would often treat myself to their milk or ice cream on the regular so I was already familiar with the brand. Its literally hit or miss at this location . I was at this location at 2:45/2:50 pm , there wasn’t any ice cream sandwiches so I grabbed 2 ice cream pies (obviously spending more money on these then the sandwiches but its hot and I was buying for my husbands work). I put the 2 boxes down at the register in the center of the counter thats always in use . The young Millennial male with dark hair and glasses said at the further down register “I’m down here” in not a very friendly voice and not very welcoming I picked up my 2 boxes and came down there he said in a rude tone “is that it?” Nope , would like a shake . 4 5. Minus 1 for the dark chocolate. Plus 1 for service. 0 for coffee. Wanted to try something unique for a shake so for the dark chocolate sea salt ice cream shake. Good BUT way way way too sweet for me. It was sweeter than chocolate syrup x a lot (or at least felt that way). It would have been SO much better if the sweetness was toned down by couple fold. Sweetness MUCH GREATER THAN richness creaminess which killed it. So then we tried the coffee shake. SO much better. Update: The owner reached out and suggested I go back and have the staff remake my shake. I think it tastes more like an old school shake like 30 years ago. Thanks Crystal..... Personally, I think it is overrated. My family loves it, though. I get the strawberry shake, and it's made with fruit puree. I asked for strawberry ice cream, but my request was ignored.

Been here a few times. Still missing the OBW that's been gone from downtown RO for ages now. At least this place is still around. Their ice cream is always consistent, a nice and creamy base for their ice creams for sure. I have had their chocolate ice cream in a cup and in a cone as well. I even their bottles of chocolate milk is good as well.
The ice cream was delicious, the staff was kind and friendly. We dined in with 5 children, 4 of whom were being disruptive (apologies to all other customers). The dining area was spacious and the bathrooms were clean. Overall, a positive experience. And did I mention the ice cream was delicious?
This restaurant is still the best! I tried to resist coming back, but everything here is just so delicious - especially the frozen latte today! It's so rich that I don't even want to know what's in it, haha. And all the staff here are always so friendly - it's been like that for years.
