I want to start out that the service was very good. Other than that, I would not recommend this resteraunt. We had a large group at our seating. Every person had a different meal. (Fish, chicken, and vegetarian tacos in every way prepared and a chicken sandwich). Every person said the food was comparable to eating at a cheap fast food chain. We also tasted 5 different appetizers and they were all bad. Meals are either over spiced, greasy, dried out or over cooked. I am typing this review drinking a coke to settle my uneasy stomach. We stopped here when the power went out in Kona because our restaurant of choice peaced out and their employees flagged us down. We drank $5 mai Thais for two hours, served by a bartender working off cell phone light. A server, with a newborn baby strapped to her chest, plied us with fries, and then fish tacos and sandwiches when the lights came on. A great restaurant can create amazing foods that make you rethink your thoughts about foods. And it's, culinarily speaking, a beautiful thing. But tonight Oceans made us rethink our reasons for being. And that's a power beyond food. The folks who run this place don't make great food. They make great experiences.
I was put off by the prices of their tacos, which mostly range from $4.25 to $4.95, on days that they have Taco specials Tuesdays, Thursdays, etc. . I couldn 't have been more wrong. I ordered one beef taco $4.75 , just to try it out. I was served a humongous taco that had more fillings than 3 Taco Bell tacos, and a lot more taste. Their multiple TV screens allowed me to comfortably watch Thursday night NFL football, and service was prompt. I will be going back on Taco days!
Good deal for Mai Tai for sure! $5 Mai Tai all day every day. It comes in a decent size of beer jug and has a decent amount of alcohol. We stopped by this place a few times just to get Mai Tai. They also serve good Tacos. I had Kalua Pork Tacos and they were delicious! My son had fish tacos and they were good also. Our waitress was super friendly, and Mai Tai was served promptly. Tasty reasonable food/drink. We loved this restaurant!!

I visited this place on a Saturday night, and it was quite lively. The music was great, creating a fun atmosphere. The bar staff was a bit slow given the large crowd, which was to be expected. The windows were open, and with the fans on, there was a lovely breeze.
This is my favorite spot to visit when I'm in Kona! The staff is friendly, the service is excellent, the entertainment is fantastic, and I absolutely love the food. The manager, Ryan, does an amazing job, and I always look forward to dropping by during my visits.
Ate at Oceans the first night in Kona. After a couple a more meals out I would definitely return to eat there. The service and meal fish and chips special) were both good. Not knock your socks off excellent but for the price very reasonable) I would recommend it.
Excellent service. Quality drinks for a reasonable price. PLEASE cook/toast the corn tortillas for your fish tacos! Everything else about them is delicious but the bitter, inflexible, uncooked corn tortilla ruins the tacos. They could be so amazing.

Came for drinks, stayed for the tacos. Delicious food, our bartender Greg took care of us and gave a lot of aloha. Happy that we made the stop
