Ochiltree's Dining

My partner and I visited the Abbotsford House on a sunny day and had a wonderful time! The Gardens rivaled some of the botanic gardens I have been to, with very well taken care of plants. The indoor guided audio tour was also so much fun! I had picked the actor version and found it so engaging, I definitely learnt so much! The witches trail they have on looked very cool too, but more aimed at younger children. There's lots there for everyone!

Fantastic day out, amazing little trails through the Forrest. Cafe prices are very reasonable and not too expensive at all. Cheap day out for all the family. They even had a kids menu too! Very well priced. There is also a play park there too near the visitors centre. Plenty of car parking space. Gift shop on site where the cafe is. Fantastic gardens well maintained! Highly recommend to visit.

Fascinating place. It would have been helpful to know you need to get tickets at the building at the top of the hill beforehand. The cafe and toilets are all in there as well. Tricky if you are disabled at all. Yet the rooms available to the public in the house are all on one level. The self-guided tour on ear- phones is excellent. Splendid gardens with a rich variety of plants.

Such a wonderful home and gardens. We loved the dramatized audio tour. Very clever to have you beep the light on, in each room you want to see. The gardens are lovely, So many beautiful flowers. I know lovely wooded walk as well. Recommend purchasing your tickets in advance. This is a popular place. We spent about 2 hours here. But you could spend much more Reserva una mesa ahora

As someone who has to eat gluten-free, I often find it difficult to dine out. However, the gluten-free fish and chips option at this restaurant was absolutely incredible. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a meal this much. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Magical gardens and very pleasant walks through woods and by the river (with some steep inclines), as well as in the wider location. House has a few rooms open with a great audio guide. Very reasonable annual membership options, great food and all round kid-friendly.

A relatively small house, as not a stately home. But packed with items of interest. Take the Scots Audio tour as it is really good. Gardens beautiful. And Cafe brilliant. (Very good value! River and wood walks as well Book for meals as it can get busy.

I had an absolutely fabulous Mother's Day afternoon tea today. I was so pleased to have won the competition and would recommend it to anyone. I would happily book afternoon tea again soon! The service was great and the food was even better. Delicious! Reserva una mesa ahora

Bought Macaroons to take away yesterday !! Without a doubt the VERY VERY Best I and my 2 Friends have ever tasted !! Various flavours which all tasted exquisitely like they should !! Will most def be back for more !! Full Marks to The Chef !!!

I enjoyed a lovely stroll to Abbotsford, followed by a well-deserved afternoon tea on the balcony of Ochiltree with a beautiful view of the house. It was a heavenly experience, and the staff were as pleasant as ever.
