this hotel is located just outside the city kehl, near the border to frankreich. When I found this restaurant, I could notice that it was an old Alsatian building with a large terrace. the waiters were dressed regionally and eating (rumpsteak with potatoes and butter) was very good. the prices are not very expensive, as it is a good restaurant, beer and wine are typical of the region and that was dessert a black forest eis. the terrace is ideal for a stay in summer, a fantastic night there.

we have eaten here at lunchtime when we arrived on a Leger bus tour from and to Austria. as they are mainly suitable for groups, they offer a fixed menu for 15 euro with 3 choices for the meal plus salat, unlimited pommes (which were very good) as well as a buckling-bocker green with the most delicious ice I have been trying for a long time, plus coffee or snaps. (we asked for schnapps and they were happy to be ready) worth the money.

we stayed in this restaurant during a bus trip through southern Germany. it's a bit away from the main car, but it's worth it all around. the food was excellent and very plentiful. the service was excellent although we were 38! the reception was warm and although the restaurant was full, we were not pushed out at the end. well recommended.

we stopped on the way back from Austria in this restaurant. the waitresses were friendly and efficient and eating was really good. I've never eaten such a huge chicken chip! the village is very picturesque. a really good experience.

the stay at this hotel was brilliant, the staff and the owners were very hospitable. they have made our stay so worthwhile.
