During our visit to a local event, the Soha Block Party, we decided to grab a meal since we were away from home. We had never heard of this restaurant before, but I'm glad my fiancé found it online. We chose takeout, which is quite popular these days, and opted for a combo that included two poke bowls, two sides, and two drinks. My poke bowl was made with white rice, tuna, salmon, furikake, seaweed salad, cucumber, shredded nori, mango, and a sesame oil-based sauce. I was eager to try this nearby poke restaurant since I’m a big fan of poke. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. While the bowls were generous in size, they were overloaded with rice and didn’t have enough protein. The fish tasted stale and was lacking in flavor, despite the sauce. I ordered the salmon and spicy tuna, but the spicy tuna was simply regular tuna with sauce on top. Many of the ingredients seemed subpar and poorly prepared; for instance, the cucumbers were thickly sliced with the skin still on. The sweet onion pieces were too large to chew comfortably, so I chose to add extra seaweed salad instead. The mango was also underripe. Overall, my bowl was mediocre and lacked...

For both the regular tuna and spicy tuna poke bowls, they only offer a mushy shredded ahi tuna salad, which is very different than regular poke-style ahi tuna. The server then got aggressive and frustrated when i gently brought up that this is not mentioned on the menu, which made the experience feel even worse.

I've been ordering from this restaurant regularly for the past few weeks, and I have never been let down. The spicy tuna is amazing! The portion sizes are perfect, the food is always fresh, and the service is friendly. The restaurant is also very clean and well-kept. I definitely recommend it if you're in the mood for a poke bowl!
My poke bowl with spicy salmon and tuna was so yummy! I love that they offer low carb alternatives to rice and noodles for the bowls like spring mix and romaine. I got spring mix for my base, and with all the toppings and sauce, it was far from bland.
I visited on 6/19 and the place was empty? the girl working was super friendly and walked me through the create your own poke bowl. Everything was super fresh and delicious? ended up being a super refreshing lunch. I?ll definitely return.
This place is amazing! I?m not sure why it does not have five stars. Really fresh ingredients, lots of options even for those who do not like raw fish, they have chicken, tofu, and Iowa pork. Give it a try. It will be your new favorite!
