Found this place amongst the vineyards up a tiny little road and went here for lunch to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary whilst staying just around the corner. It was a beautiful sunny day and the setting was fantastic. The food was perfect, quite rustic with a home cooked feel and fresh with plenty of choice. The menu del dia was unbelievable value at 12 euros a head with a choice of 5 starters, main courses and puddings with coffee. The bill came in at an unbelievable 52 euros for 3 of us which incredibly also included 2 bottles of the local white wine, txakoli which I think came from the vineyard surrounding this fantastic place. The waitress was charming. If you staying in the nearby town of Hondarribia do yourself a favour and go for a meal here, you won't regret it. Not fine dining but a truly great rustic setting and food.
this is a very unusual restaurant based on the sidreria cidreria concept ciders as the default drink; spectacularly poured from the central barrels...... ...... But the food is great too; a varied menu of the day with great value. it's only a little off the beaten track and well worth a stop. friendly staff who coped well with our lack of language. Dinner next time
