I feel the need to leave a review because my fiance and I have been regular customers of this restaurant for years. Last night, we were seated next to a table who ordered fried rice and teriyaki chicken. I feel the full story should be told. The fried rice came out, maybe 5 minutes before the teriyaki chicken. The waitress apologized for the wait, and these people had the audacity to ask the restaurant to comp the fried rice because it was cold . You could still see the steam coming off the rice!! They had a more senior server come over as well as the manager. I can only say the restaurant staff handled this situation with grace, because I would have had a very hard time not laughing in their faces for the absurd request. Apparently these people don 't eat at restaurants often, because waits between food (especially non sushi items at a SUSHI restaurant) are common. I cannot let their bad review be the only one put out about this incident, because the staff at Okinawa have always been incredibly kind and the food delicious.
Food is decent. Service is awful. I’ve been coming here for years and won’t be coming back after this experience. I ordered fried rice and my girlfriend ordered teriyaki chicken. Rice took a while to come out and the chicken even longer. When we complained, the manager was very rude and hostile. I will no longer be spending my money here and neither should you.
