Tricky to find the restaurant, it 's above a shopping centre and we had to wind our way through swingers bars, sex shops and massage parlours, I 'd have been mortified if the kids had been with us as it 's quite in your face. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and the chap serving us was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was ok. Quite large portions but nothing special in terms of flavour or presentation. What we couldn 't get over was the price. The same meal in Germany would have been about ⅓ of the price so I 'm surprised it gets away with it in a mainly German location. Over €100 for 2 starters, 2 basic mains (schnitzel and breaded chicken portions) and 2 drinks each...we left with full tummies but empty wallets.
We went to the Cita centre a couple of days before and to be honest it wasn’t somewhere we wanted to go back to. We were looks for an Austrian restaurant and the OLA kept coming up as the place to go, so we bit the bullet and booked a table. When booking online if you are a non smoker make sure you tick the box as they segregate using separate rooms. The food was fantastic and definitely deserves it rating, and service was spot on making sure we were happy and comfortable. Despite its location it is definitely worth a visit.
Superb food, the waiter promoted specials for the starter and dessert and he wasn’t wrong. Ragout of game was excellent. The 23 quid red wine was good. Service was top class. It’s in the cita centre, hidden slightly in a corner of the top floor and surrounded by bars. They’ve done well to make it feel classy and, with such good food, location didn’t matter. A hidden gem.
