I am far from a restaurant connoisseur nor do I leave reviews on any establishment regularly. But I have to say the food and drinks are top notch and they serve one of the best French dip sandwiches I’ve ever eaten and I’ve had quite a few in my time, at quite a few different restaurants on Long Island. I wish I could give a better rating, but our server was terrible. We have been here for over an hour and only received our appetizers because our server has completely ignored us. Despite servicing other tables nearby, she has not checked on us for drinks or anything. Another staff member even took our dirty plates instead of her. I had to walk to the bar myself to get refills because she was not coming to check on us. This is not the service I have experienced in the past, and I am disappointed with the lack of attention we are receiving tonight, especially since the restaurant is not busy. Sorry for the negative review.
Went by Foodies recommendation, great extensive menu, sat at the bar friendly efficient service. My wings were very good but a little dry. Husband had the big burrito which definitely lived up to its name, delicious. I enjoyed my pilot grigio as well as my husband his bud light on tap. I ordered the $9 Cuervo margarita after 2 wines but requested just fresh squeezed lime instead of the sugary lime juice, all good with the barmaid,but I got a very sugary drink . Asked again for a remake, got my request but was charged $13. Excuse was had to add more booze to fill up the glass. We decided not to go back.
The manager at this restaurant was terrible. When we asked for separate checks after my sister's wake, we were grief-stricken and distraught, but were told it was easier for them to not accommodate our request. We kindly asked for an exception, but were rudely told to leave with a mocking goodbye. We ended up staying and splitting the check ourselves, which was not a pleasant experience. The food was terrible and the bathrooms were disgusting. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I stop by for drinks ?. Very quiet place,comparing to others bars. Just surprised me it's close early 10 pm) . Food was normal, i can't say something extravagantly. And a lot of choices of meat. If you want just take a bite and talk ,this place for you.
I visit this restaurant about once a month. The food is always consistent and I even used them to cater my gender reveal party. The prices are fair and it's a great local pub.
Food was very good. I had the chicken dinner (chicken, balsamic glaze, mozzarella and tomato), which was great. Husband had a rare hamburger which he said was cooked perfect.
First time at old city public house this past Monday. Food was good service was good drinks were good. What more can you ask for.. I totally recommend trying them out. ?

Met work colleagues here on a Tuesday for lunch and we all had a great experience. I loved my Pastrami Reuben and others had French Dip.Looking forward to coming back.
We absolutely loved this restaurant! Everything from appetizers and our main meals was Fresh, Hot and Delicious! I highly recommend you try The Mexican Pizza!!
