myself and my girlfriend visited this restaurant on Sunday the 23rd Aug. Considering how busy the place was, and noticeably some of the staff were a little stressed, they were also very accommodating. A group of gypsy travellers were in a section of the restaurant and were being quite noisy. The waiter with a neard apologised for the racket.Soon after we got out meals, a table was knocked over by one of the gypsies and so they were asked to leave. This man was very drunk and thus started being threatening to the staff. The staff were never rude, but firm in asking him to leave. Ordered through Just Eat. When no delivery had been made after an hour and 15 minutes I called the restaurant to get an ETA. I was advised the driver had just turned up and would be with me in a few minutes, which he was.The food was stone cold and part of my order was missing. I completely take in to account that this might also be partly the fault of Just Eat but surely the staff can ensure the order is complete. I made an order a month ago and the exact same thing happened. I regret giving them the benefit of the doubt.I called the restaurant to tell them part of the order was missing only to be told there was nothing they could do and I'd have to request a refund. This is second visit in a couple of weeks, first visit only had gammon on, at 7.30 also in the gravy area, no gravy, dishes of sauces empty and very messy. 2nd visit 7.30 again the food was dried up and cold, once again only one choice of gravy, again no sauces only empty dishes.the staff were over worked. Sad as enjoyed going to this carvery in the past but now very sloppy, needs more staff to ensure customers get what they paid for. The carver had to get us more veg, then go again into the kitchen and get the gravy. We do not expect sloppy untidy areas and expect the full range of meats at 7.30 in the evening. Management need to sort out this once well managed carvery.

Got a takeaway via deliveroo... Never again! Ordered chicken strips for £2.99 and got 3 soggy nuggets (see photo) and garlic mushrooms which didn 't taste of anything. Whilst I realise they are a starter it 's a very small portion and equates to virtually £1 a piece of chicken! Ordered a roast.. no Yorkshire pudding, no pigs in blankets, and loaded roast potatoes which weren 't loaded just plain!!! Booked a table for 4pm today, Seated straight away, drinks order taken and our server explained the new rules. Mains were good (carvery (no room for dessert! really good service with check backs on food and refill drinks, Going by my receipt our servers name was Adam? So thank you for good service

Excellent! Better than ever. Food was really good, service was excellent. Great value for money, hot counter has screens in place, I think I prefer the server serving my food, it was fresh, well cooked and nicely presented. Thankyou for a wonderful visit.

Best Carvery In Hertfordshire and surrounding Counties. Excellent value for money. Definitely worth a visit.You will be visiting again and again.Have eaten here 7 times in 6 weeks See for yourself you won’t be disappointed

10:30 table booked for breakfast served at gone 11:00 and only half the menu left. No apology. I was refunded. Not good service.
