Old Gilman Grill

Overall it was a great experience and we would come again. The reason I am subtracting a star is because the hangar steak we got was raw in the middle as it had a purplish color, the Caesar salad dressing got watered down because the lettuce was wet, and the description for the butternut squash ravioli was just drenched with cream sauce which should have been in the description. Also the braised lamb dish needs a mashed potato or something to help cut through therichness. One piece of toast just doesn't do it. I know it was a lot of issues but the restaurant did immediately fix anything that wasn't right that we asked them to do but some of the items we just went ahead and ate because we werestarving. The best thing we had was the French dip. It's one of the best ones I've had in a while. The Gilman salad was also very good. The drinks they made were delicious and the service was on point. It's a cool looking restaurantthat you should try if you are in that area.

We came here on Valentine?s Day and perhaps that is not the best representation of how good a restaurant is because they were busy. I?ve heard from many people they like dining at old Gilman grill and although my experience was good it wasn?t anything extra special. I had the hanger steak with fries which was good but too salty. They had run out of the dessert I would?ve liked so settled on the chocolate mousse which was average. Service at this restaurant was not great,I felt like there was pressure from the servers to have a quick turnover for the tables. We were rushed throughout the meal with being asked for our drink order as soon as we sat down before we even looked at a menu. Halfway through eatingmy main meal the water came to give us the dessert menu. I didn?t enjoy feeling rushed during my meal.

While on a spur of the moment trip, decided to eat here on a holiday weekend. They normally took reservations only, but may have something at 9p. After a bit more walking we came back 10 mins early and were sat promptly. The interior is polished, clean and modern with a very upscale feel. Wanted to try the bread but were out but arriving late and without reservation I won?t make that an issue. The waitress was very attentive checking back frequently, and got the ordersand good out promptly. I ordered the filet and it was cooked beautifully rare. Also enjoyed the torte with the berry coulis. It was very busy and a holiday night so I will forgive my only complaint. Everything was salted a bit tooliberally, but over all a great meal, and for what you are recieving priced well.

It was a very nice restaurant. Been there twice when they have event in Chattanooga which is the Motorcar Festival. Nice ambiance and good customer service, very accommodating. Every food that we order was fantastic. The best ravioli I've ever had (yummy ???? . That bacon wrapped dates was surprisingly good, never had that before. My husband really like that french deep which is I think there best seller, it so tasty. Can't wait to go back. Keep it up guys.

Elsa was amazing. Very sweet and attentive! I enjoyed the atmosphere and my meal was great! Had salmon dip app. and steak salad. Large drink selection ? the tropical cowboy definitely is delicious white wine dr Herman) was so refreshing and paired well with steak salad. Best meal I?ve had in Chattanooga and best service. 5 star meal !!!
