I do often write reviews, however in this case I must. Visited over evenings. The bar person was not welcoming. Ordering beer was fine but trying to order food at the same time was a bit of a struggle. From one till to another....It is a warm place. Everyone was very friendly. Dogs welcome First evening.....fish and chips with a grimace Second evening I thought I would try seafood chowder with a side of chips. Mr grimace had to check if they had any left. Arrived swiftly. Looked good Chips were OK. Nothing special. Bread was OK. However....seafood chowder with no seafood is somewhat disappointing. Potato and bacon does not constitute seafood in my opinion. we stumbled over this bar and restaurant after we turned away from another dog friendly restaurant. the dame that served us was so welcoming and friendly, eating was delicious, and even the dog was served a sausage that amazingly melts! reasonable prices, friendly and...serious atmosphere. we were just visiting a few days, but will return to the final when we visit next. I wish we knew something about this place.

we went into a friendly atmosphere. the personal was top-notch, very friendly were a brilliant team. the food was excellent (cod chips, tasty) freshly cooked I think the cook must be a northern one because the muddy heaps were fabulous. the prices were very reasonable. even the locals were great. we really can't harm it or the personal. superb!

Friendly greeting, great breakfast and dog friendly. We had a full English and scrambled egg/smoked salmon on muffins both were surprisingly nice, we didn't have to wait too long, the coffee was great too. Good value and ideal for us! Reserva una mesa ahora

we ate here in the last month and found the bar to be excellent. the personal was perfect and the service was as good as anyone. the food they get is the right pub bureau and a lot of it. if they want a decent food, they eat here.

a bit to lunch. very friendly staff and beautiful outside area. we sat outside to eat, I had an salat sandwich, and my friend had the chowder who were both nice. I would recommend it here after I walked around the city.

A comfortable old fashioned pub that could probably do with a bit of refurbishment. If you enjoy good pub grub and like portions to suit a hungry person well worth a try, just don't expect fine dining service.

Been past a number of times and Always Busy in Season. Open all year round and we were away in our Motorhome out of Season. Very Friendly Services, Fantastic Food and Dog Friendly . Well Done Reserva una mesa ahora

Good honest pub grub. Great quality. Piping hot. Welcoming and friendly staff. Great value for money. Quick service. Dogs welcome too! A great find.
