Old Maryland Grill

We had the great opportunity last night for a preliminary meal at Old Maryland Grill in College Park. I can't say enough about the delicious, authentic Maryland farewell. I think between our table of 15 we tried every appetizer, every duck, every dessert and every special cocktail. While everything was very good, the fried green tomatoes, fillet mignon, risotto and popcorn Sorbet were dessert from this world. The restaurant was well occupied and our large table had excellent service and attention to detail. A wonderful experience. We look forward to an early return. Bon appetit!

Tried the new prime rib sandwich it was delicious. A wonderful horseradish sauce with onion and the meat was cooked perfectly. Since it's my birthday month, I got a free dessert and I chose pineapple upside down cake with buttermilk ice cream. The pineapple was diced with a wonderful sauce and the ice cream was delicious.

We used the private room for my baby shower and honestly everything was perfect. The food was excellent! My guest are still ranting and raving about the pecan salad! Service was great and I would recommend the space for an intimate baby shower or other event.

Happy Hour didn’t disappoint. Delicious and very fresh 1/2 price oysters. I also had the ham sandwich stuffed with greens. OMG it was delicious. We are planning another visit soon. So happy it’s in the neighborhood.

Great food and substantial portions, terrific service, unusual touches like whale-shaped salt and pepper shakers, fabulous breads, beautiful place. Best coleslaw I ever had. Rather expensive.
