June 2022 It seems that the owners have started to put an effort into making the food better, after there where some critics. The potatoes are chopped to a better and smaller size and are of better grades. The portions are better and the coffee flow is really good. The omelets are still the 'lazy ' kind, where everything is mixed into the egg, as opposed to a filled omelet, which is not as dry. They do have a menu for frozen take out, which is worth checking out. The place is always clean, and tables have a good distance. On checkout the tap is broken, so you better remember your pin. I stopped in for lunch today and must say that both the experience and the food were fantastic. The waitress, who may also be the owner, managed everything seamlessly—greeting guests, seating them, taking orders, delivering food, answering phones, clearing tables, processing payments, and ensuring everyone had freshly brewed coffee, all without missing a beat. In addition to her efficiency, she was friendly, engaging, and had a great sense of humor. As for the food—it was incredible! You definitely won't leave hungry, and your wallet will appreciate it too! Although we're visiting from out of town, we will undoubtedly return!
I visited this restaurant for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The service was outstanding—very friendly staff. The food was delicious; I ordered the clubhouse sandwich and fries. The sandwich was made with real seasoned chicken breast, and there were plenty of fries. I even brought half of the sandwich home! My husband tried the fish sandwich made with cod, and he really enjoyed it. The prices were very reasonable as well. I highly recommend this place!
I visited on June 2nd, 2022, for breakfast, and it was wonderful. The pancakes were made from scratch, and I upgraded to the real maple syrup, which was definitely worth the extra cost. My girlfriend ordered the Grand breakfast, and it was equally delicious. Our server, who I think was the owner’s mom, was very friendly. I was really impressed by both the quality of the food and the attentive service. The ice cream parlor looked adorable as well!
The owner is a wonderful lady who does it all! She is friendly and attentive even when she gets busy. We always have to get their blueberry pancakes which are made from scratch with a delicious blueberry compote served on top, the best pancakes you will ever have! The portions on the egg breakfasts are great and we’ll worth the money. The only thing lacking is some better lighting. All in all a great place for breakfast in town.
I have been going to Old Mill for YEARS and I have been proud to bring friends/family who visit from out of town. The food is always DELICIOUS. The portions are generous. The service has always been great. The owners have also done so much to support the community over the years from donating to local charities to providing meals to those in need. I am grateful to have Old Mill in the community that I live in.
