Nestled in a little village in MK called Great Brickhill is this cute cosy pub that has some beautiful views from the garden area to enjoy! This place was a perfect way to spend our Sunday with some quite amazing roast dinners Below is what we had: Drinks: • Hot chocolates we cosied up with a hot chocolate that had some delicious homemade shortbread on the side which were very moreish! Visited the Old Red Lion on a Saturday evening, as close to an AirB&B we stayed at. Great welcome from friendly staff, who were excellent. Down to one chef on our visit, so a small delay, but this was explained before we ordered, which is a welcome change to other places we've been to in the past who give you no info on any issues. Staff were efficient and seemed genuinely interested in us and how we were looked after. Food and drinks were excellent. We liked it so much, that when looking for somewhere for a Sunday lunch, we rebooted here and were lucky to get a cancellation! Food, drink and service were equally as good. Today, I had Sunday lunch at this restaurant (21/01/24). I was somewhat let down by the limited choice of starters (no prawn cocktail as indicated online). The main course was okay but nothing extraordinary, with the roast potatoes being very hard and tough to cut, and the Yorkshire pudding being different. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was great, but overall it was a bit disappointing considering we were recommended to dine here by close friends. We left feeling like we had paid a high price for a meal that was, at best, average.

I recently visited a charming old pub in Great Brickhill. The service was attentive, the food was delicious, and they had a good selection of drinks. The only downside was that it was fairly quiet for a Thursday night, lacking some atmosphere. Nonetheless, I plan to return and maybe try their tapas night or pizza!

The staff at this restaurant were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. The Calamari starter was excellent and the mussels were the biggest and best I have ever had, the sauce was fantastic.
