I also requested an extra sauce, only to have the price change on me multiple times while I waited. They adjusted my bill three times in front of me, citing various mistakes. When I called to express my concerns, the woman on the phone claimed to be the owner. After a frustrating exchange that felt more like a defense than a resolution, she mentioned that the actual owner would come in on a different day. This is just poor business all around—this establishment has really gone downhill.
I visited yesterday and really enjoyed the food—kudos to the team! It's my second time coming, and I'm from Virginia. However, I was quite frustrated by the mandatory tip. I typically prefer to tip based on the service I receive, and I often give more than the suggested amount. By forcing a tip, you've actually lost out on what I would have given! Despite this, I will definitely return because I love this restaurant and highly recommend it!
I have to say... We 've been going here for years. The owners, staff and food are ALWAYS incredible! Whether you go for their pick up options or sit down menu you will never be dissapointed. You can litteraly taste the love put into each meal. So,,, to the amazing owners and staff... Thank you for always providing a little touch of Puerto Rico and some awesome food!!!
Unassuming place with great food and attentive service from Iris. Prices were very reasonable. Iris fired up the coffee maker to make my wife a cafe con leche. All food was delicious, roasted pork, platanos, carne guisada, arroz con habichuelas, arroz con gandules, y yucca con cebolla. If you are in the area and hungry for Puerto Rican food stop by. This restaurant is exceptionally clean, and the food was outstanding. I had beans and rice with roasted pork, and it was incredibly tender with a delicious flavor. The waiter, who is also the owner, greeted us as soon as we walked in. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone! The service was fantastic!
Great place for Puerto Rican food! We went on a Sunday and found parking right by the entrance. We were the first guests of the day, which was great. It was a nice homie spot to enjoy puerto rican cuisine. We had Churrasco mofongo, pernil mofongo and cheese and beef empanadas. Yummy food!Food: 4/5
I really enjoyed the friendly service, and the food was fantastic with an amazing presentation on my plate! It was a wonderful experience, and I've already begun recommending Old San Juan to others. Thank you, and God bless! P.S. The coconut flan is incredible!
Good was good, but not great. Yet , I'd still go. Atmosphere could use a little help. Staff was polite and seemed to be done help. Location is ok, but tricky if you're not familiar with the place.Food: 4/5 Reserva una mesa ahora
The food is delicious but quite salty—maybe even too salty. I don't really notice much seasoning beyond the salt, but it is well-prepared otherwise. Overall, I would rate the food a 3 out of 5.
