An absolutely fantastic place for tea, coffee, cakes (to die for! and sandwiches. There were other selections on the menu and based on what we ordered and ate I would imagine that they are first class too. We were served generous pots of tea with extra pots of boiling water and tea bags to top up (big gold star from me as an avid tea drinker , cafetières of delicious coffee with plenty of milk on the side, incredibly generous slices (more like slabs! of freshly home baked cakes of the highest quality and tastiness. Some of our party had cheesy scones still warm from the oven and I shared a chicken stuffing sandwich fragrant with herbs on the freshest of bread. All in all the perfect spot for...

Had a birthday drive out and in particular to visit this cute Tea Room hidden next to the church. Waited to be seated, receiving a warm, friendly welcome from the lady. Had a beautiful hot breakfast which was served swiftly with every item on my plate having it's flavours. Tea in china cups tastes so much better than the big chunky croc ones in others cafes. We couldn't decide from the choice of homemade cakes so came away with four different slices. Excellent prices. A table of homemade items and retro things you could buy in the windowsills. When in the area, would definately visit again. Very efficient service and very clean. Its a shame though that walkers that we're not customers of the...

Popped in at lunchtime after a muddy hike with our 2 dogs. Lovely, friendly lady greeted us. Plenty of seating (it's a village hall). They've thought of everything was welcomed to use some large cushions for dogs to rest on, plus dog treats. Fabulous, home cooked food, served quickly and in generous portions at a very reasonable price. We had nut roast and broccoli stilton quiche, both with peas and new potatoes. These were £7 £8 and set us up for the day. Bought some cake to take away, £2.50 for massive slice. All cakes baked by lady who served us. There were a few handmade things for sale on tables and windowsills and we bought a couple of Christmas decorations. Asked for directions so we...

A group of family and friends went to the old School Tea Room and despite being before it was due to close were met by a very rude and inhospitable gentleman. The lady came and did say we could go inside (we did offer to eat and drink outside) and she really tried hard to make up for the dreadful attitude of the gentleman. In fact he actually turned his back on us when trying to engage in conversation. We absolutely understand that it was getting towards closing time but his attitude ruined our afternoon.,..we had all looked forward to some cake and a drink but didn’t bother ordering cake as we just felt unwelcome and that we would have to rush eating and thereby spoil the enjoyment. This tea room is a hidden gem located in a quaint former school building. Despite its unassuming exterior, it has maintained its charm and character. This was our third visit to the tea room in the past year or two, and it has consistently impressed us. The hot baguettes are delicious and great value for money, while the cream tea is outstanding. The scones are possibly the best I have ever had, clearly homemade. The selection of homemade cakes available for dining in or takeout is fantastic, and the staff are incredibly attentive and efficient. The place is also impeccably clean. I highly recommend visiting this tea room after a leisurely walk in the beautiful local area of Wetton.

We have visited here twice. On both occasions we planned walks specifically so we could visit this terrific tearoom. Service is super friendly. Food and drinks represent excellent value for money. Today we had brilliant tasty breakfasts followed by beautiful home made cakes from a great selection. Being in the old school, the tearoom is really quaint and something a little bit different it makes for a great atmosphere. Parking available outside although we were walking. Very highly recommended! We will be visiting again!

Good choice of cakes and the chocolate cake was delicious. It is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Cash only Dog friendly we noticed they even provide mats for the dogs to lie on

A special little place nothing too much trouble. The lady who runs it goes above and beyond. Very good value for money, quality ingredients and delicious home-made cakes. Where else would you get a pot of hot water with a extra teabag on the side without asking. It’s open Friday,Saturday and Sunday 10 until 3. Give it a go you won’t be disappointed!! The food and cakes at this restaurant are incredible, with options available for vegans. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere is dog and walker friendly, and there are many unique souvenirs available for purchase, many of which are crafted by Julie. This hidden gem is definitely worth a visit, and I would return without hesitation.
