Old Schoolhouse Tearoom

The café is truly unique; you order your drinks and can choose from a wide selection of delicious cakes and cookies, all lovingly made on-site. Then, you simply make a donation of your choice when you pay. The variety of cakes and cookies was simply mouthwatering, so my wife and I decided to share a coffee and walnut cake along with a lemon drop. I also had to persuade my wife to let me have a piece of the exquisite chocolate cake. Everything was brilliant! We will definitely be back!

It's only open two afternoons a week, but it's always busy with volunteers. Payments for the excellent tea and cake (which is homemade) are based on voluntary contributions, and the proceeds go towards the maintenance of the building as a community asset. If you have the chance to visit, please take advantage of this wonderful initiative and donate generously.

the old school is now owned by the wester loch ewe trust (wlet) and is guided by them for vistors in the region and for the needs of the local community. in 2019 it will continue to lead its popular tearoom and exhibitions. further activities are planned both from a regular nature and from a regular nature.

Community project. Fantastic home baking and great welcome. There is no set charge. Visitors are ask to donate and gift aid if possible.
