I admit I was expecting a fantastic meal based on reviews and friends' recommendations. The food was alright, but nowhere near exceptional. Ordered the BEER CHEESE PRETZEL SLIDERS for appetizers and they were quite bland and dry. Over one third of their listed entrees are not available when we were there. I had the LANGOSTINO SHRIMP SCAMPI and there was a total of 6 shrimp severed on top of a relatively small serving of fettuccine which definitely could have used additional spices or something, as it was rather plain. My hubs had steak and it was OK, but nothing exceptional. Our bill was over $100, which is fine IF the food is exceptionally tasty and/or sufficient amounts. Neither was the ca...

Our campground had the Old Tavern listed on their website, and after a travel day we came in on a Thursday. We shared appetizers fried pickles, jalapeños poppers and sautéed mushrooms. The special was fish and chips, nearly the whole table got this delicious dish. The cocktails were fun and used local spirits.Because we enjoyed both the atmosphere and food we headed in for another meal. This time 11 of us waited at the bar a short bit. We got our table and heard the specials, and what dishes were already sold out! I got the petite fillet with shrimp, it didn’t not disappoint.Really this place is a gem featuring locally sourced foods, spirits and beers.

The all you can eat crab legs and shrimp was FANTASTIC!! Also came with fries, potatoes, coleslaw, fruit, and cornbread. There was little wait for refills, our waitress (I believe Justice? was all over everything. It was our first trip there and I guarantee we will be back. The other food around us looked great as will, from the burgers to the wings, to the stakes and prime rib. They also have a brunch that sounds like a can't miss.Add all that up with a really good looking cocktail menu and this place is a slam dunk.If you leave hungry, it's your own fault!!

This was my husband's favorite restaurant we hadn't made the road trip to get there for a while. Prime rib for his birthday off we went! The cole slaw tasted spoiled. Their tallow fried potatoes were cold tasted more of grease than potato. His prime rib was the toughest he had ever experienced. I always loved their mushrooms but these tasted as though they were just pickled in balsamic vinegar, not a little added to enhance the flavor. My sirloin steak was okay.........don't think we'll be back.
