What can I say about the Olive Garden that everyone has not said. I consider the Olive Garden a more fast food Italian sit down restaurant. It's of course a chain and once in a blue moon...you have an inkling to eat their delicious, fresh out the oven, bread sticks and Zappa toscanna soup! I always try their specialty menu when I can or do the all you can eat when they offer it! This round, we tried the baked dishes they offered. We tried to eat lunch at the Covington Olive Garden after Covid was almost over. It was suppose to be safer at that time. When we arrived we were told that the staff was short and that we probably should either wait a long time or go to a different restaurant. Two weeks ago, we tried it again. It was a weeknight, around 6 or 7 pm. We were seated at a table right next to the noisey kitchen with a family sitting across from us with small children. Dirty faces, food all over the table and floor. Buggers, plus a bad odor in the room. I,have taken children to dinners for 40 years. Not the parent 's fault at all. I love goin to fancy places when I have the money. A little treat yanno. Well I usually go to slidell but but I came to this one instead. The waitress rushed me and my husband! She kept it nice but do think I didn't notice when you brought ou r attention to paying within 12 minutes after receiving our order then coming back with my soup and asking if I'd like cheese just walk away then coming back with the check n no cheese, now I wouldn't tip if the economy was better but because of her thinly valed poor attitude she did not receive the full tip had my experience been pleasant. She profiled me, rushed my experience and I would not recommend. Come to slidell. We have more Congeniality.
I haven't been to an Olive Garden in quite a few years, but my wife and I recently stopped at the Covington location for lunch on a weekday. While Olive Garden isn’t strictly Italian, the food—like the salad, soup, chicken parmesan, and those famous breadsticks—reminded me of the comforting meals I enjoyed in the past. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the prices are very reasonable. What stood out the most at this location was the cheerful service and the warm, welcoming environment created by the hostess, our server, and the manager on duty, Bill, who even stopped by our table. It was a noteworthy and appreciated touch. We will definitely be back!

I don't have a lot to say about Olive Garden except I enjoy the food and drinks and we've always had exceptional service. The one thing that makes the place stand out in my head is the way we're treated when we're there...like family. One of the best eating experiences I've had to date was at an Olive Garden because the staff was just that good. OG, if you're reading this, I miss the short rib pasta...bring it back for a limited time, will ya???
Absolutely terrible! The hostess made fun of my cousin, who has special needs, while we were dining together. When we confronted her about it, she ran to the manager—who she seemed to have a close relationship with. Instead of listening to our side of the story, he threatened to kick us out. Throughout the ordeal, the hostess continued to come by our table and taunt us while the manager just ignored the situation and played on his phone.
I went here for lunch recently. The soup and salad was priced about the same as fast food, but the quality was top-notch. The server was excellent. The greeter was flat bordering on unfriendly and should probably be put in another position. However, the rest of the experience and price will cause me to come back. I'm glad to see there is at least one restaurant that hasn't let its quality tank.
I have to admit that I haven't dined at Olive Garden in over six years because I wasn't fond of their food in the past. However, I was pleasantly surprised during my recent visit. The food was quite good, and everyone in my party enjoyed their meals. We will definitely consider coming back, especially for the chicken marsala, the salad, and the Tuscan soup!

2nd time we went and walked out after sitting for 10 mins with no service. I don't wanna hear bs about short staff. Tons of workers, 3 ladies were at the front desk just chatting. Waitress made eye contact several times, put napkins on the table said she'd be right back.... Never came back to our table. I'll go back when the Saints win another Super Bowl.
