Olive Garden Italian

I went with my daughter today. It wasn?t extremely busy and sat within 2 minutes walking in. The waiter wasn?t pleasant or welcoming. He asked right away if I knew what I wanted to eat no time to view the menu, but i knew what I wanted thankfully). I placed our orders with drinks. My daughter?s food came within 7 minutes. I ate some of the soup but ask the waiter to bring me a different soup didn?t taste right). I waited additional 25 minutes with little to no update on my order. I seen a table come in 10 minutes after me and received their food with 15 minutes of ordering. I was completely upset at this point. I told the waiter to take the entree off my bill. I went to olive garden around 7 on a Saturday. It was a bit busy and we had roughly a ten minute wait but it wasn't too bad. Our server was absolutely amazing and was super friendly and kept checking in with us. I ordered the calamari, steak and Alfredo, and a strawberry drink with vodka. The calamari was okay, but kind of tasted like friend chicken and not like typical calamari. I think that was as a result of the breading. The steak and Alfredo were both good. The drink was recommended by my server and was okay, but extremely strong and tasted mostly of cheap vodka. I think more flavor would have made it better, but it was still okay. I ordered takeout today, the lasagna. I specifically said I wanted the 4-6 servings more than once when ordering inside the restaurant and they placed my order with the family size on my credit card. Way to much food! Luckily I noticed the total seemed high. They said it was a miss understanding but didn?t apologize at all. I paid my bill and told them it was their miss understanding then I left. Rose was a wonderful and attentive person who took care of us. Food was your standard olive garden quality and price. Some new items in the menu, which was a welcome addition to the corporate cookie cutter menu. But the definitive star of the evening was Rose and the other people who supported us with our experience. Definitely 5 stars for the people.

Would liked to have given 5 stars. Service was excellent for a chain restaurant, exceptional really. However my Chicken Marsala was flat and somewhat tough a 2 plus or 3 star on food only...if my wife were to review, she would give it 5 as she had the lasagna and said it was awesome... Service made for a nice experience.

The atmosphere and service were excellent during my visit! However, I would recommend avoiding anything with chicken. The grilled chicken was spongy and not very appealing. I didn't expect Olive Garden to use the same kind of chicken as McDonald's or Jack-in-the-Box. Perhaps there are better options on the menu.

I had a wonderful and attentive waitress. Her name is Olivia. She took my order and delivered every course in time. The food was good. As always, salad and bread sticks were a hit. We had a great time. Our server 'Ashley ' made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The food was awesome and the portions were decent. Definitely recommend ziti and tiramisu ?
