My Sister-in-law, was a manager here at the Olive Garden in Whittier at the Quad. Back when she was the manager, there was great service,servers were clean and neatly dressed. You’d walk in the place it was clean didn’t smell like a bathroom, the cleanliness here has gone way down over the years, the restrooms are horrible, so it’s no wonder it smells the way it does, when you walk in. Some of the servers are really rude. We keep coming back here, because we live so close and with the hopes that it has changed, and unfortunately it just keeps getting worse. The food isn’t at its best. Olive Garden needs to get someone in here that can manage this place better!!
We stopped in for an early dinner. Overall the food and service was good. I was highly disappointed when we received the Angel hair pasta with marinara sauce with the sauté shrimp all mixed together even when we ordered the shrimp to be completely separated. Then after waiting a long time, we received the shrimp on a separate dish only to see that the kitchen staff just picked off the shrimp from the original dish. We asked for a manager who immediately brought out a new dish, compensated us for the issue and explained that she spoke with the kitchen staff. The manager was very attentive and we appreciated her resolving this issue quickly.
Party of two, we came for dinner, sat at the bar, for fastest seating. We were put at the end of the bar at lower table top. So it felt like a kids table at the bar. While person sits next to you in there high chair stool. I did not like that at all. When the bar had available seats and stools tables available. The food was delicious. But one steak plate came out cold and we requested to servers to re prepare. I was never asked if I wanted a refill on my bread basket, alcoholic drink, or water. Clean restrooms, fair parking.
The reception people at the front door were terrible.had 4 people there and they said 20 -25 minutes.I looked at my wife and said the left was totally empty.I said the left side is empty why the wait,they said no servers also in the bar area.thus is dinner time rush!IAM frustrated with this type of service in the mean time they had 4people at reception area.But we had Maria as our server and she was ??.Thanks Maria you made it all better.

Dining in at Olive Garden is always a pleasant experience. When it is time for the waiter to grate cheese on the soups and entries, I 'll tell you when to stop is the preferred method to get the proper amount of cheese for each item. After thanking them I dive in and savor the meal before relaxing and finishing off my drinks. Great place. Great food. Great staff.
Everything was delicious!!! The spinach artichoke dip hands down best thing! Service was good. Just felt rushed. Our plates were coming out one by one didn't really have a chance to enjoy one thing at a time so our table was overwhelmed.
It isn't as cute and cozy as it once was. The ambiance feels colder in recent years, not much on the Italian theme, bright lighting, kept really cold in temperature. Food and service quality are hit or miss.
Love it all the time. Great customer service from all even from the manager. The food, bread and salad was very tasty freshly made. Drinks were bomb.
