Walking into Olive Lane, I felt like all my Christmases had come at once. This gorgeous cafe and bakery is a sweet lover's idea of heaven. With a mix of traditional Greek flavours and French pastry techniques, Olive Lane has a loyal following with local residents returning time and time again.<br/ <br/ The cafe itself is lovely, with a large space and high ceilings. Beautiful light fixtures, lovely furniture and greenery make it a welcoming space. One of the highlights of our meal was the coffee. I typically find almond lattes to be difficult to perfect, but the one at Olive Lane was divine. It was very foamy, smooth, and had no burnt taste, which I often encounter with almond lattes. I was tempted to order a second one before my meal even arrived. For my meal, I ordered an açai bowl. The presentation was beautiful with colorful fruits, berry tones of the açai, and a lovely flower on top. Surprisingly, it was not overly sweet. The açai part was creamy and fresh, with just the right balance of sourness. Although it was not very filling due to the lack of blended banana, overall it was a pleasant experience.

Their artisan pastries and cakes, crafted by patisserie chefs from Greece, are absolutely top-notch. Owners Andrew and Diti are incredibly friendly and welcoming, taking the time to greet each customer personally. They have created a menu filled with brunch classics, but what sets Olive Lane apart is their outstanding hospitality. In just eight months since its opening, Olive Lane has built a stellar reputation that is truly impressive. I wouldn't be surprised if you spot me there every weekend – I am completely smitten with Olive Lane right now. It has become my go-to spot for weekends without a doubt.

Lovely morning brunch today! The service here was lovely and the cabinet displaying beautiful Greek pastries and desserts was very tempting! Stopped through here and decided to grab a coffee from here instead of the usual place I grab one when I’m in this area and was pleasantly surprised when I found they used my favourite brand of coffee veneziano Coffee was very very niceThe small bit of spanakopita was also quite niceWill come back and try breakfast here for sure

Best Coffee in Balwyn!!! The service is fantastic. The staff are really nice. The ham cheese tomato croissant was really nice. That’s just breakfast.... The chicken Souvlaki and chips is also really really nice aswell. Really traditional!Will definitely be back.

This cafe in North Balwyn is like a small slice of Greece. It has a spacious outdoor seating area and serves delicious food with a diverse menu. The coffee is excellent and the pastry selection is mouthwatering. My favorite dish is the strapatsada.

I think olive lane is a great breakfast and lunch place for Balwyn. The service is very good, people are friendly, and the menu is extensive, with a good range of Modern Greek style dishes. Reserva una mesa ahora

Waited an hour and a half for food to come out. Although staff were apologetic- service like that is simply not good enough whatever the reason or excuse.

Great coffee and food. Quick good quality service, would recommend this place, also has great cakes which you can order for events. Will be going back!
