Olive und Oregano mediterrane Tapas Tea-Room

Meine Begleitung und ich verbrachten einen herrlichen Abend im Olive & Oregano. Die ebenerdige Terrasse in der Altstadt mit Blick auf den See ist grosszügig und mediterran. Die Speisekarte bietet ein Vielfalt feinster Speisen aus dem Mittelmeerraum. Wir entschieden uns für verschiedene warme und kalte Tapas, die alle überdurchschnittlich gut waren. Geradezu herausragend für meinen Gaumen waren die Patatas Bravas, das Fava (sah ich zum ersten Mal auf einer Schweizer Speisekarte) und die Aubergine Imam. Begleitet wurde das köstliche Essen von einem guten Wein und last but not least einem professionellen und freundlichen Service. Sehr gerne bald wieder!

The fried zucchini has a fish taste (could it be that is was fried with oil which was previously used for fish??? . The rice in the dolmades was like puree. The pita bread was tasteless. The patatas bravas were lukewarm. The personnel very friendly but...totally impassive to our complaints. We were often here but it has slowly deteriorated. This was our last visit.

There are several expensive executive options in Zug, but none of them will beat Nick and Barbara's place when it comes to good food. If you like Mediterranean this is your place. Nick's Greek roots combined with Spanish tapas... plus some great wines and outstanding service. Love going to this place and probably do not get to go often enough.

Olive & Oregano not only has a beautiful name, but also a wonderful location in the Old Town of Zug. It is romantic inside with a nice Greek ambiance or at the outside tables in this lovely setting.The food is very tasty and presented well.The service is good and the atmosphere professional yet relaxed.I enjoyed the flavour of Greece!

The two of us went there for dinner once. We each had an appetizer. For the main course we had a meat plate for two people. After the main course we were still hungry. The portions were very small. The taste was good but for the price you are expected to be full.

We had an amazing Chicken Gyros and some tapas. The portions were quite big and the waiter offered us to take unfinished dishes away which was really nice. Great value for money! Delicious food and friendly and welcoming service.

Das Olive liegt schön gelegen, Nähe am See. An schönen Tagen kann man perfekt draußen sitzen. Die Tapas sind lecker. Sowohl warm, als auch kalt. Man kann aber auch ein Steak bestellen. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und freundlich.

We stopped for morning coffee and it was so good, we stayed for another! Lovely location, great view of the lake and for people watching. Coffee is excellent. The tapas menu looked very interesting...possibly one for lunch too?!

Enjoy the delicious Greek specialties outside in the sunshine and look out over Lake Zug. The service is very friendly and accommodating. (view from the terrace)
