this restaurant is not in the most touristic part of the street tourasse but it is not a reason not to go! On the contrary. The dishes are very good, traditional but with a touch of originality (the branch of thyme in embers served on the intercote, or the paella revisited for example). Fish dishes are delicious (it is fresh their fish, it is fresh the gourmet coffee is a very good choice for dessert. The decor is playful and humorous (does a toilet tour the prices are lined up on the other St-Jean restaurants. In summary, go without hesitation but avoid the terrace because cars circulate there a few centimeters from your table.
We managed to book a table in this friendly restaurant of St Jean de Luz, even though we had received an end not to receive many others during our stay in the Basque Country. At the turn of a alley, we discovered by chance this address. It was a nice surprise with very well cooked dishes, all with very correct prices. The frame and decor are a bit atypical. We went there mid-September a noon: very nice discovery, friendly welcome, kitchen with very good fish specialties. We took a fish of the day with its vegetables (bar) and a cod back, purée and tarragon sauce. We'll go back there for sure.
Real kitchen. We had dinner one evening in this very friendly little restaurant. The boss is very welcoming. Exquisite food. The dish of the day a Basque Ttoro. A marvel for taste buds. Thank you very much.
