We have dined at OMNI on multiple occasions, but tonight's experience was extremely disappointing. The rice was bland, the salad was overdressed and soggy, lacking any contrast for the main dishes. The Malaysian fried rendang chicken was a soggy mess with a tasteless, thick brown sauce. It seems like there may have been changes in the kitchen or it could be due to it being midweek, but the overall quality was very poor. It felt more like takeout in plastic containers rather than the high-quality restaurant food we have enjoyed in the past. We were left disappointed as the food did not live up to our previous experiences of flawless dining.
I do love the food at Omni, we have Miso pickles which were a lovely starter. We ordered chicken wings which weren’t soggie and had a lovely flavour. Osyter mushrooms which are recommended. The staff are attentive and lovely. It is recommended to book in advanced. We had a short notice booking which meant we were on the bar stools. Service: Dine in
We ate Vietnamese style pork ribs with a Jasmine Rice bowl . And Yellow Hake curry ... both dishes were so delicious and flavoursome .. I've been to Omni quite often and never had a bad meal .. Obviously the food is excellent but what you may not know is these guys consistently play the best music classic breaks and spicy squid what’s not to like! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
