Where to start! The moment you walk in you are greeted with a smile and friendly service from the owner Dean. Went for my Fiancees birthday and when we were shown to our table, they had put up a Happy Birthday banner on the wall. Such a thoughtful thing to do and brought a big smile to her (and my) face. The food was amazing and you could tell was cooked fresh. Let 's not forget the unique volcanic rocks to cook steak on! Never enjoyed a meal as much. The owner showed some great hospitality and making us feel very welcomed and we certainly had a great time. We ordered fillet steak and to be honest I am not sure if I actually preferred this type of cooking. But nonetheless the owner who also made his own dessert, the dessert made our night memorable. The steak toffee pudding that I ordered was one of the best I ever tasted. Moist and very generous offering of toffee sauce. Certainly come back again for the dessert!
beautiful place and beautiful staff. they need to recommend the prawn cocktail star, the best I ever had! we had filet steak and venison for the net, with chips, jacket kartoffeln, salate and coleslaw. cook them is great as they can cook it as they want, we fight to eat it all as there was so much food, and the heavenly and white chocolate cheesecake with ice is for to die! even if they are too filled by appetizers and netzen, they provide a dessert!

absolutely amazing from beginning to end. very intimate place, service was exceptional, even downstairs to bring me a taste of home wine to see if I liked it before I ordered one. eating was the best we ever had, delicious and excellent presentation. service was excellent, constantly asked if we are in order and if we need something. wants 1000% recommend this place and will definitely return.
Really good food and friendly service. I enjoyed being able to cook my meal exactly as I liked it on the rocks . This helped create a really nice atmosphere. The veg and jacket potato I had with lovely venison were nice, but nothing special and there was little for vegetarians. Though I can 't fault the meal or service, I felt it was a bit expensive (over £30 each) for what we got.
we went last night as soon as we went to the union, was very welcoming. beautiful warm feeling for the place immediately, great wine, perfect music, great place, my steak was perfectly cooked, well I cooked myself, was a quality cut meat. highly recommended. will be back.
Had dinner with a client at On The Rocks and it was the highlight of the day. Great service, even better food and an overall great experience from a little venue such as this!
