Traditional pub in Ripon that serves a good selection of well kept real ale. Open fire and dog friendly. Spacious outdoor seating some of which is sheltered. Good choice if you like your ale. Also sells merchandise

The drinks were great and reasonably priced. The only issue I had was the long wait for a drink because the two women behind the bar seemed more focused on serving the regular customers.

Great pub! They have an amazing variety of drinks, and the outdoor seating area is fantastic, a perfect spot to catch some sun. I got sunburned, but that was totally my fault.

Lovely little pub, we sat in the bar area which was cosy enough and had some blankets to throw over yourself (was cold from a walk!
