My wife and I visited Elmhurst for the Umbrella Exhibit and stopped for a bite to eat late in the day. The downtown has a lovely strip with a ton of restaurants and outdoor seating. We chose 151 Kitchen Bar because it looked nice and we got parking right out front. The name peaks your interest and is a little misleading. We thought they would have more upscale bar type food. However, the menu was light with options and very posh. They had a bunch of servers standing around, two bartenders looking extremely bored, and two hostesses who just stood around staring blankly at the doors. I've visited this restaurant numerous times and have never been disappointed. I stopped by on Wednesday, and Shawn was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about bourbon. This is truly the best cocktail and bourbon bar in town—nothing else compares. Our server was fantastic too; I should have asked for her name. She's consistently great—super friendly, clean, efficient, and attentive to customers. I always feel welcomed here, which is what I value when supporting local businesses. They serve the best shrimp and grits I've ever had.
The brunch was amazing! I ordered the chorizo eggs benedict and couldn't have been happier with my choice. I had orange juice to drink, but my friends all opted for cocktails, which looked fantastic. Overall, we enjoyed a wonderful brunch and the atmosphere was calm enough for five old friends to catch up without having to raise our voices over the noise of others or loud music.
We had a big group of 7 come in on a Saturday night and were greeted by a sever 20 minutes after sitting down. We caught the attention of a second server who was phenomenal, however the manager was extremely awkward and did not offer an apology for the initial wait. YUM. This is my second time at this restaurant. Me and some friends went last year and loved it so much we had to come back! Food and drinks are amazing. Serving staff are superb. Atmosphere is chill and well designed. Definitely recommend.
The potato side dish on the brunch menu could stand alone on a plate. They were perhaps better than my entree (almost). Kid-friendliness: My three grandkids under 7 were treated with understanding and sweetness.
Great date night dinner spot. Apps are on point and they have great portion sizes. Interesting and great combination for cocktails and food!
My new favorite restaurant. ive gone 3 times and gotten different stuff every time and its always fantastic. Bartender is incredible. 10/10

Great place with great food. Service was impeccable. We sat in a booth in the back, it was the best seat in the house.
I liked the atmosphere. Had the Cajun chicken sandwich, good not great.
