First time customer. Took my family out to celebrate our 16 year wedding anniversary. Was hoping to discover a local restaurant as we didn’t want to go into town, and we live 2kms away on the same road. My wife and I were very disappointed in the condiments/sauces which tasted like they were straight off a supermarket shelf, rather than made in-house by a chef. Even the deserts tasted like they were out of a retirement village. All we could taste was sugar. It was heavily processed, and straight out of a packet. Despite being a high-class restaurant, we had to ask three times for a napkin and were still not given one. The service was terrible and very disappointing, especially considering we paid a bill of $400. I had to personally approach the manager because there was no staff available to ask for assistance. Our party of six was all very dissatisfied with the service and the restaurant as a whole.
Although the venue was busy and the wait times were a little long, the wait for our meals was definitely worth it! The staff were extremely attentive, and looked after us so well! Definitely recommend the lobster linguine

The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is lovely. The wine selection could use some improvement and the prices are a bit high for younger wines, but it is definitely worth it for the delicious dining experience!

Onyx is definitely one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. It's hard to find any faults with it. I would gladly dine there again and it's definitely worth considering.
The service at this restaurant is fantastic, and the food is delicious. I would definitely recommend it to a friend and will be coming back again as a customer!
