We accepted a recommendation from a local tour guide by dining here and were not disappointed. While the menu offers Bavarian specialties, it also offers salads, Italian dishes, and other European dishes for those who want to eat lighter or stray from the Bavarian diet. The food was delicious and ample would not describe the portions. Either go hungry, order small portions, or share a plate. We mostly ordered what amounts to sampler plates with three meats as the featured offering. All were delicious. One of our group is gluten intolerant and had no trouble ordering a terrific dinner.
A rare big miss by both Ricky Steves and TripAdvisor. Food, service, and ambience were sub par. Waiter had no idea what was on the menu, food or beer. Surrounded by numerous smokers. Ambience might have been barely okay if the restaurant was more than half filled. And food could have been from a fast foot restaurant. Over two weeks in Berlin, Bruge and Munich and this was the only disappointing meal.

We had not reserved a table, but were warmly welcomed. We had ordered a woodjack steak with pommes, the food was super tasty and also the price Euro 11,50 was true. The staff was very friendly and the place is really recommended.
