Yesterday, we went to Orient Express to celebrate a birthday with a group of 8 people. Unfortunately, our experience was dampened by the manager, Jason, who seemed to go out of his way to make us feel unwelcome. Despite having booked our table a week in advance, Jason's demeaning attitude and dismissive behavior made us feel like a burden. We weren't the only ones who were affected by his rude demeanor, as we observed other tables also being upset. This restaurant serves the best Chinese food in the city with generous portions. They use white meat and offer fun sushi options. I deducted 1 point for atmosphere due to the restaurant always being packed. The train car is beautiful, but the bar is crowded with a long wait. They only reserve tables for parties of 6 or more, which can be annoying. However, the hostess at the front is friendly, organized, and has good English skills to answer questions and explain the hibachi rules. The wait times are overestimated, but I prefer that to waiting even longer. I plan to return to dine in and try the hibachi as I usually order it to-go.
We had never been to Atlanta before and were pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant open past 8-9pm. The service was fast and the staff was very friendly. The hibachi food was delicious - highly recommend! Even our 5-year-old and 2-year-old enjoyed the meal. The staff was accommodating with the kids' meal, splitting it onto two plates without any issues. They were also considerate enough to warn us before lighting the hibachi grill to ensure the kids weren't scared. We had no trouble finding parking when we arrived at 9pm. Overall, a great experience!
I had an incredible experience at this restaurant. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. They have a hidden sushi bar that is not listed on the menu, but you just have to request it. I have visited many hibachi restaurants, but this one definitely has the best atmosphere. It is located inside a cargo train with a large koi pond in front. The food was flavorful and well-seasoned, showing that they put effort into their dishes. I highly recommend checking them out. We order chinese every Christmas Day.They where affordable and food was pretty good.If you like your dishes on the crunchier side like sesame chicken or kung pao tofu this is not your place as they are pretty heavy on the sauces.Parking is pretty terrible, I must say.
This hibachi spot in the Atlanta metro area has always been our favorite. The show is great and the food is delicious. We have been regular customers for over 7 years now.
Ms. Sophie hospitality was on point! The service she rendered made you feel like you were at her home- very welcoming. My lobster was cooked to perfection!
