Big fan for years. I 've been a fan of the O.P.H. for years now, ever since the freebie, throwaway tabloid for metro Detroit listed them as having one of the 10 best breakfasts in the metropolitan area. I used to patronize their Birmingham location at least once a week. they remind me of what the IHOP USED to be and SHOULD be, although they, too, have followed the IHOP 's example and purged their menu to try and be more than just pancakes. BIG MISTAKE.<br/ whenever I go out of town, I try to find one to patronize. missed my chance during a recent trip to florida, so I did a road trip here from J.C. on the 4th. they occupy a former BBQ joint, hence the hunting lodge theme that someone comment...

that wait is terrible and the app they use, lets them only check if they are within a certain radius. if this is waiting for an hour, they will wait at the end even if they were 30 miles away. eating is good, but they could use more variety with regard to breakfast items such as flapjack’s.

The wait is horrendous and the app they use only lets you check in if you are within a certain radius. If the wait is over an hour, you will end up waiting even if yoh were 30 miles away. The food is good, but they could use more variety in terms of breakfast items like FlapJack's.
