Have enjoyed many meals here. I had read some pretty negative reviews on here about the place and thought I would add my own as I have only had very positive ones.The Dim Sims are amazing, large and very tasty.We usually always have a sizzling Mongolian lamb, and garlic prawns, this time we bought my Dad along and also chose some Sweet & Sour Scallops. Best decision ever. Perfection!!The restaurant itself is a typical local Chinese restaurant, which I think creates the comfortable atmosphere and I honestly wouldn't go to a modern looking Chinese restaurant.The only negative is the service can be a bit slow, but the waitresses are always very happy & friendly.The restaurant doesn't serve alco...
We got takeaway for the first time from Ormeau Chinese Restaurant this week, after my sister moved into the area from interstate. We are all quite picky when eating Chinese and had a favourite back home that we had been visiting for over 20 years. We very happy with the quality of the food from Ormeau Chinese. The food was fresh and flavoursome, and the service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be making Ormeau Chinese our new takeaway Chinese restaurant.
My favourite dishes are always mini spring rolls, special fried rice, beef and black bean, sweet and sour pork, and BBQ prawns, prawn omelette, curry puffs, dim sims, and chicken and sweet corn soup, and chicken and prawn chow mein!!!All very YUMMY from this great local Chinese restaurant!!It's a real gem!
Beautiful, friendly staff. Always make you feel welcome. The food is beautiful, priced well. Eat in or takeaway. Medium sized restaurant, it is never Fujii and i think more people have takeaway than eat in. Try it. I'm sure you will return.

I'am not a great Chinese eater but this one is up there with the best, dine in is fantastic and so is takeaway both give you plenty to eat and at a good price. The staff are very friendly and open to special requests.
This is one of the BEST chinese resteraunts I have been to. The food is awesome. Always fresh & tasty. Left overs can be taken home. The waitresses are Great too. This is a must it is also BYO
Eat in and takeaway both great, fast and hot. Authentic Chinese fresh and beautiful veggies something for everyone. Very kid friendly restaurant and staff.
Just moved to the area and was worried i wouldn't find a good Chinese spot close by. Great food, even better prices and very friendly staff.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of flat rice noodles with beef - tasty flavour and tender beef, decent portion sizes and friendly staff.
