"I ordered takeout from this place today and as a sushi lover, this was the worst sushi I have ever had. Only good thing about it was the smoked salmon nigiri but only the fish part of it,the rice had no taste at all, was hard and seemed partly uncooked. Would definitely not recommend this place. Order was also about 40 minutes late and warm items were completely cold."

I felt strongly enough to edit my first review. Change of ownership, who knows....., but something has changed. Poor, surly service from a Japanese woman miserably sitting on her mac in the corner while an attentive, pleasant waitress tried to go about her work. All gyoza's i ordered were not available. The one is did i knew well AS I BUY IT FROM THE CHINESE SUPERMARKET and its cooked from frozen. Its a bit demoralising paying £2.50 for 5 of something when you know a giant bag costs a fiver!!! Miso soup was good again. Noodle dish was'nt great but above all attitude from the Japanese woman truly stunk. I shall not be returning until i've heard that its changed. OLD REVIEW Ordered a takeaway...

Visited Oryza Sushi on 18 Dec 2014, around 7pm. Service was acceptable although food served was way below expectation. We had our seats at the bar so we could observe how the food was prepared. Ordered dinner platter for 2. Miso soup was alright but the sushi was not authentic in taste at all. Rice was too dry and didn't taste of usual sushi rice with vinegar. The ingredients in the sushi was random pieces of fish, cucumber and peppers (really? Peppers in sushi? Raw fish didn't look or taste fresh. Gyoza was too tough it was not freshly made. It's all frozen items that you would buy from the Asian Food Supermarket and re heated up. The two ladies that were doing the service that evening seem...

This business is now called JW Sushi, the chefs bought out the previous owner and have been trying to revive the good reputation from years ago. I purchased a 4 person platter for me and my partner for £30, we obviously had leftovers and everything was incredible quality. Tempura prawns were probably the best I've ever had, the quality of all the food was outstanding, and the owners chefs were so friendly and helpful, especially after I asked to delay my order for 2 hours due to kids acting up! Such good value, will definitely be adding sushi to our list of go-to takeaway options!

Ordered takeaway sushi and was very disappointed. Agree with previous reviews that it is overpriced especially when it comes to the gyozas since they are frozen ones available at the local Asian supermarket. The sushi was very poor quality. The rice was slightly too raw, the maki rolls weren't cut properly, the California rolls weren't what they are supposed to be and all the salmon used was smoked salmon. The price was way too much for what was served. Would not recommend.
