Conclusion: great Japanese in the Potts Point District with a really good quality from Osaka! Family life and business. A tip from Yelp that was highly rated last night drew my attention to this gem. The waitress and also the family - all with roots from Japan. The shop was a bit inconspicuous - and not very much visited in the evening in the rain in Sydney, brought me the full attention of the kitchen and service! It should have been fine with me ;-) The menu is well sorted, even if the names shouldn't necessarily mean something to an experienced sushi and Japanese cusine connoisseur. In the end, I got through the evening with an excellent Udon Soup (great fresh noodles!), A Teriaki Salmon...

I took my partner to Osaka for his birthday dinner and we couldn't have been more delighted. The owner Kazu took the time out to answer my reservation personally and ask the name of my 'lovely husband'. When we arrived for our booking, there was a gorgeous handmade birthday card and two complimentary glasses of sparkling. Things were off to a great start!! We weren't disappointed by the food either - ordering a sampling of around 6 plates with the outstanding inclusion of the Confit Duck and the Lamb Chops - extraordinarily good!!The glass teapot of Sake, the smiling, happy staff and the personal greeting by Kazu made our night very special and memorable. We will be back to sample more of th...
I attended the opening of osaka bar and have referred people to this venue. Tonight in the area decided to pop in and grab some food. Frankly everything was appalling from the waiters who could not speak English to the food that was presented. It was simply not the standard we tasted on this restaurants debut. Concerned it may have been an off night we mentioned our dissatisfaction and cancelled the final dish ordered. The owner came out we explained he said nothing wrong with the food - i said this is not the standard of when you opened he stood by his food - such arrogance. We wanted him to do well but if you cant recognize genuine concern and display a level of arrogance such as chef Kazu...
A friend and I stumbled upon this place as we were looking for a place to have a simple dinner in Kings Cross on a rainy evening. From the moment we entered we were treated so well...my friend was offered a basket for her handbag so it didn't have to sit on the ground, we were offered blankets for the cold...simple things but they add to the cuteness of the place. We were also treated to a delightful singer/guitarist playing soothing melodies. The service was fast and friendly, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere was lovely. A great dining experience! Reserva una mesa ahora
Not so formal - more a casual dining venue in an out of the way lane in Kings Cross (ok - Potts Point). Everything was great (except the $10 byo wine corkage fee!). Something different I've never had before was a ROASTED green tea ice cream. Delicious! It looks like chocolate ice cream! Japanese restaurants usually struggle over dessert options, but not here! Worth trying this place just for their desserts alone!!!
Came here with a friend while looking for late nite food. This place had a huge menu. I'm not a sushi guy, but there was plenty on the menu including duck! Coming from the States, I had never seen such different food before from a sushi restaurant. Staff was very attentive but English is definitely not the first language. A little difficult to communicate but that was the only negative.
This is really a second rate place, I live in the area and dine out most evenings. Potts Point is full of great Japanese restaurants, but this place has the worst service, a cook (I'm sure he calls himself a chef) who is an absolute bully. The food is dry, over cooked, but it does have the service to match - dreadful with attitude. You have been warned YUCK
I returned to this small restaurant and I must say that it is always a nice place to eat classic Japanese food the sashimi of the market of the day is very good as well as all the rest of the menu since I am in Sydney another two months I will be back. excellent quality and price Reserva una mesa ahora
Light Sunday lunch with friends, made nicer by wonderful food. The roasted eggplant with blueberry sauce, so unusual but delicious and I'd definitely recommend you add it to whatever else you choose.
