Osawa Shabu Shabu & Sushi

we all three ordered the delicious black cod for lunch. great quality control never misses on the tenderness and flavor. all the sides that come with this entree are comforting: the tsukemono, wasabi mashed potato salad , tofu salad with mizuna and a great dressing. and of course, genuine miso soup. topping it off with the black sesame panna cotta always is satisfying. our almost 100 years young sansei friend loved the whole meal. (we knew Osawa wouldn 't disappoint. i always mean to order something i haven 't tried before, but i just can 't resist having my favorite black cod with sides. the friendly, respectful service didn 't rush us, even though it was prime lunch time for them.

Had my New Year 's Eve dinner here. They are known for their hot pots , though I chose to enjoy their sashimi instead. All of their fish was very fresh and tasty. I, also, ordered their fois gras, which was served on a large daikon radish. This was a departure, from the French version, which usually has a cherry gastric. It was very decadent, I highly suggest it. I was not really happy with the server I had. She took a very long time between taking my drink order to taking my dinner order, at least 15 minutes. She made me feel that my patronage was not as important as some of the other parties. The food made up for it though. I would try them again.

This is my favorite restaurant, Japanese or otherwise. The food is delicious! They are authentic and have some unique dishes. They have great choices, and the staff is professional and courteous. Their sushi is fresh, the other dishes are really tasty, and they have a great selection of sake. They also have Shari Shayn. Reservations definitely recommended!

This place, foods are all well made and clean. People in there is awesome with very kindness. Although many people, orders came promptly. It’s the best experience in Pasadena.

This place has delicious and good portion size, perfect for tasting many things. The staff is friendly and attentive. Timing of food is great. Nice icy cold Asahi too!
