Was served a shocking inedible steak, the management never acknowledged this and even tried to add the meal to the bill even after the waitress told the manager and chef and front desk that this was wrong. The manager suddenly darted away when I stood up to pay the bill. My wife had to share my meal as we had limited time. This is not about the shocking steak, this is about how this was handled and I won't be back as I felt totally disrespected and not one single crum of care or respect for there fair paying customers.
After reading a number of reviews we set out on a very cold Tuesday night to have a bite to eat and a small celebration. Of the restaurants that were reviewed Oscars was at the bottom of the list. Each of the alternate restaurants although advertised as open were closed. we ended up here by default. What a pleasant surprise. We were welcomed into a pleasant environment with quick friendly service and a nice drop of wine followed by generous servings and a delicious meal. A warm surprise on a cold night. I recommend it
Visited on a Saturday evening with friends. Great varied menu and we all enjoyed the chilli garlic bread while we waited for our mains. Four of the five meals came out and all were generous serves and enjoyed, however my main did not appear along with the others, I was told that there had been a mix up and it would be 3 minutes. The other 4 in our party had all but finished theirs by the time it arrived. Having said that the serve was enormous and it was piping hot. Will give them another chance.
The 4 of us dinner there last night and it was very average, the chicken was dry and the seafood risotto was very salty and didn't have much seafood in it, as for the price, over the top for wha you get. We have been regular customers on a Tuesday night for the lat 4 years and since Ashley left, ex manager, the place has gone backwards. It will be a long time before we even consider going back. We Couldn't use our entertainment voucher on a normal Saturday just because it was the day b4 Mother's Day Totally against the rules of the entertainment book. There was 8 of us (4 x couples) with 3 cards and were told we couldn't use them Greedy owner I hope it was worth it A great way to loose good local customers. We'll be complaining to the entertainment book to see what they say
Had Entertainment Voucher, and was told at the time of going to pay that they were not accepting the vouchers that night. Disappointing considering when I booked I actually said I was using an Entertainment Book voucher. Lucky it was only 2 of us, as the girl said there were quite a few people who tried to use vouchers that couldnt. Great way to lose business.
