my family has loved her ekstard since the start! it is our first choice when we go for our favorite negotiation. that was the first job of my brother (as 20 years ago) it is my favorite place for a burger and a shake, and my mother calls for 1-2 half gallons of her favorite taste a few times in the month! my only complaint is that in the last few months no one answers the phones. tonight for example (8/31/22,) I called 4 times with the first being shortly after 8 o'clock and the whole phone was ring and ring, each time. Been here many times. Today was not ideal. Girl taking the orders got stuff wrong and missing. So went back inside to pay more and try again. And got home to mooshed burgers. Way less done than any normal burgers. And a mile from the well done burgers ordered. Literally unable to eat them they were gross. They never heated the buns either so imagine burgers under water under cooked and your on the same page. I tried the manager but that was useless. I dont normally go to this location but a credit at the hy 18 place could work for me at some point. I am not spending 15 dollars worth of gas to try to get my 13 dollars of bad burgers fixed. I frequently visit Oscar on Highway 100, but I haven't checked out this restaurant in a while. I just want to say that the experience was fantastic. The order was taken quickly and with a smile, and everything was accurate. The food was hot and delicious. The chefs at the grill clearly know what they're doing; the burgers, fries, and onion rings were cooked to perfection. Even after taking it home two miles away, everything remained hot. I highly recommend this restaurant because they genuinely care about their customers' satisfaction.
I visited this location during the lunch hour yesterday and was impressed by the camaraderie among the staff. They all appeared cheerful and worked efficiently! I definitely prefer Kopp's over Oscar's, but this place is still quite good and offers a similar menu. They serve burgers, fries, ice cream shakes, sundaes, and more. While it may not be as well-maintained or staffed, it's still a decent spot. Plus, there's plenty of seating available, which is a nice change from some other ice cream places.
This is my favorite Oscars! The service is faster, the burgers are better and the custard is richer. Best of all they always automatically give me my custard to enjoy while I wait for my burger. Life's short after all so eat dessert first. The waffle cones are made fresh on site and they're delicious (also huge).
